So I've finally done it. I've launched my new blog CultOfMoney.com and joined the Yakezie challenge. According to Alexa, everything on the internet is more popular than my blog, as I'm currently ranked as NoData. So I have the least popular site on the internet! My challenge will be to get my Alexa ranking down significantly, I'd like to be below 200k by the end of the 6 month period. My Yakezie Challenge post is up now.
I'd also love some feedback on my blog. Additionally, if any of you have any tips or comments on how to best make this process a success, I'd be quite interested in hearing that too. I've currently scheduled an hour a night to build relationships, network with other bloggers, engage myself in other blog's comments, etc. Anything else that can help?
I hope that the community here works as well as I expect it too, as I've seen a fair number of blogs reach real success, and hopefully with my dedication, I can do the same.
Hope you all take a look, leave a few comments, and help me grow my blog. If any of you want to exchange link for a blogroll, I'm working on that too (along with so many other things…!)

I like the concept of your site. I visited your Challenge post and left you a message.
As far as site changes and design, it appears to be set up well. You might add an option in the comments to check a box to subscribe to your site (don't leave it auto-checked, people hate that).
Also, your logo is cool but I think it would pop more if you just changed the text to white.

Welcome – I left you a comment. I would recommend getting your name out there by leaving comments on other blogs, interact in the forums, submit to carnivals, and much much more.
I would recommend staying away from blogroll exchanges. Focus more on quality content so that people will naturally link to your site.

@20's Finances, Thanks for the feedback. I have scheduled an hour each evening that I will go an read and comment on the other member blogs around here. Hopefully I can get through a fair number that way.
My goal is to write valuable content, I guess the readers will determine if that is the case or not!
@John, Thanks, I will see what other colors work well tonight. I didn't think of the white for the banner.
@Hank, I looked in the profile page and didn't see an obvious spot for a signature block…

One way to get there is to click on your name "CultOfMoney" on the left of your Forum post, which will bring you to your profile page, select "edit profile record" at the bottom, and then select "set up your signature" at the top. Hope that helps…

Thanks to all for the well wishes and all the help already! There are so many different things to do and check, etc., etc. Of course you all have been through these issues and challenges.
I would love to compile a list of "best tips" or "Things I wish I knew before starting this blog", assuming that one doesn't already exist here yet. if you do have important tips, please share them with us all!
