Hey guys.  I know that some of you have niche sites or are considering one (or two or three).  Anyway, I share my secret sauce for my latest and what will probably be my most successful niche site to date.  If you have time, check that out (http://yesiamcheap.com/2011/10…..che-sites/).

But what I really need is your help and advice on my niche site for an elderly reader over at My Tenant From Hell (http://mytenantfromhell.com/20…..h-quickly/)

I just went to your "Tenant" site and left a comment.  Did you solicit emails from readers?  I think it is a good idea.

I do!  That button to the right on the site that says "tell your story" lets people register and post their own story.  If you have one to share, feel free!

Personally, I don't like making niche sites because I just don't find any motivation in them. But if I did, I would hire a freelancer to put up the content and seo for me.

Great article, I really enjoyed it.  I've been really giving consideration to starting a niche site on Crohn's Disease….there just doesn't seem to be many resources or blogs on the web about it.  Coincidentally the only thing holding me back is the disease itself lol, but as soon as im feeling a little better I would love to start it…I mean it's all real life material to write about for me.  I just wonder if it would be successful or not.

Just commented. I really like making niche sites. That is a really good idea to create one from a top traffic post.

A site on living with Crohn's from a young person's perspective would be good.  My cousin (she's 22) was just diagnosed with Crohn's and she feels isolated because when she goes to the specialist she is the youngest person there.  It's hard for her to find information ont he subject as a young person.  You might have an audience waiting for you.

Be well.

That's what I'm talking about!  Mine your current site for information to start a niche site.  Let me know how it performs.

I should do the same thing for Gout.  I'm in my mid 30s and it is pretty rare for someone my age to have had as many attacks as i've had.

Okay, I too was inspired. I bought a domain and started putting it together. :) Maybe I'll share it in the future… It's my first niche site, so we'll see if it is successful.

I enjoyed the post, Sandy. Thanks for sharing your experience, many of us are looking to take the plunge into the niche site word…or at least trying one :)

I'm up for a niche site duel as well! We might need to think about really putting up a challenge.  This could be fun.

Let's do it! All in to start November 1st? I am still getting content ready so I won't start backlinking until then.

I am thinking of writing a niche site about C. Diff.  Not so much for profit, but to help people.  Plus, I will call it my 'spite site' because one site I went to would only give so much info, and then you had to buy their ebook.  Well, I want to give all my info for free.

Hmmm a duel is just what I might need to get moving.  I am going to try it, and at least get something up out there.
