I'm not sure that this would be a "guild" but I thought it sounded cool Cool. I am going to start doing a weekly Post roundup on my site every Saturday to promote other bloggers. Each and every week there will be a post that means more backlinks to everyone who is on it. I was just curious if there was anyone out there that would like to participate. I've never done this before, but I would be willing to include anyone who is willing to do the same. Any takers?

Maybe you have experience doing this and can offer some advice, like I said, this will be the first time for me.

That sounds like a great idea. I've been meaning to get into the habit of doing roundups for forever. This would be a great kick in the pants.

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

yea, sort of. This is a great way to get more quality backlinks to your site which helps your search rankings. Every week we will make a post on our blogs including a description of a blog, liinking back to their site. These are becoming quite popular and seem to get the most comments. Then you can leave a comment on their site once their's is live and you get another backlink (although it may be no follow, its good to have a mixture to make it more natural) that way. You can get creative with this as long as it includes the bloggers that linked to you and then make it interesting to your readers. I am using mine as a way to talk to my readers to talk about what happened with Finance Yoga that week or what's coming up next week… kind of a sneak peek feature. You can get ideas from my site Finance Yoga if you like. Keep in mind, it is my first time doing this and I put it together in about 20 minutes. I'll continue to improve as time goes on.

I would love to include you in next week's post (and anyone else that wants to participate). Laugh

A little friendly advice…for SEO purposes this is a terrible idea. For new readers it is a great idea

Thanks for the tip MyJourneyToMillions. Do you care to explain this in more detail? I am new to the blog-o-sphere (blogging since Feb 18, 2012) and was under the impression that this will help your SEO efforts because of the back links. Do the backlinks you receive from the other bloggers not outweigh the backlinks you provide for the other blogs on your website? Thanks.

Its cool that your readers will be introduced to other people…but google figures out pretty quickly if you are only linking to the same 8 buddies and they are linking just to you.
