Have you ever been homeless and are now successful?

I am working on a project requested by my publisher about homeless to successful people. I have 2 very good friends, one who was a single mum of 4 who was homeless and started a business while homeless which is now successful and the other who grew up on the streets, suffered some of the worst abuse Australia has ever seen and now runs a very successful company.

When I asked around more stories came out and my publisher wants me to interview them and make them into a book. My plan with a percentage of the proceeds is to put it towards the affordable housing project here in Australia that helped my best friend (the mum), so not only will the stories inspire but the royalties will help as well.

So, if anyone has been homeless and turned their life around, or you know anyone who has and they would be willing to be interviewed (and it can be anonymous if you prefer), I would love to hear from you contact@kylieofiu.com

If they are a business owner, the business can be mentioned, including web address etc in the book, unless you prefer not to.

Thank you!

I don't know anyone like that but it's certainly a "rags to riches" story. Look forward to reading it!

I have about 10 now and I am so touched people are so willing to share their stories. Actually, while doing research last night, I discovered that for a period of 3 months in Australia I would have been classed as homeless because I lived in a friends garage with my 2 daughters and only the bed, cot and bookshelf she had for me. I didn't think I was homeless because I had a roof over my head, but there are various degrees, not just those living on the streets. That was a little bit of a shock.

That's the same as me. For nearly 2 months time over the last 3 years my wife and I have had to live in motels during gaps in between the end of one lease and the beginning of another. Anyone who has ever written about living in a hotel as being cheaper than home ownership obviously hasn't tried it!

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon
