These are great reminders! As an enrolled agent (i.e. tax guy), I constantly have to dig for some of these deductions, though I tell them to keep track year after year! Once you are itemizing your deductions, there is a wide world of possible write-offs that many people overlook. Especially the unreimbursed employee expenses as well as Union Dues, LNI, and other deductions you can find on your year-end paystub, but not on the W-2.
