Okay, okay… I realize 500,000 is nothing special and the real goal is <200,000.  But I am so excited to see that today I am ranking below 500,000.  484,777 to be specific.  I started out exactly three weeks ago with a ranking of 4,850,710.  As a 'newbie' here at Yakezie I thought there was no way I would ever crack 1 million, much less hit the 200,000 in six months.  Now that I can see the finish line, I have a lot more confidence that this is achievable.  I am hoping I can hit the target by the end of March.

Thanks to so many of you for your support, info swapping, and motivational stories.  You are the best.

And I promise… no more random Yakezie ranking updates until I hit 200,000!

Thanks, everyone.  Hopefully the remaining 284,777 won't be to hard to shave off.

I am also now trending at around 250-300 page views a day, with 80-90% unique visitors for the day (they other 10-20% is probably me clicking on my site – haha).  I think those numbers are pretty good.

How much stock do you put into bounce rates?  Mine is around 60%, but based on the nature of my site ('tip of the day' being a big part of it) I am not surprised.  I am going to start on working on getting my visitors to browse to other things once they check out the daily tip.

Congrats Single Saver. Was happy to have you guest post on my site! :)

You're doing VERY well for sure. Your bounce rate is pretty much in line with mine, so I wouldn't worry about it that much.

Wow Im envious of you, that is great progess! I have been on your site quite a few times and I can see why!

I first checked my Alexa ranking two weeks ago, I was at about 8,000,000, and now Im about 2,000,000…nothing impressive, but my blog has really only been up and running for about a solid month now.  I wish we were counting out Alexa ranking in the US only, because Im 180k there lol.

Thats an impressive number of site views each day.  I seem to average about 15-30 lol. I get excited when I see that 20 people have actually Google'd and found me so far…and that two people have clicked on my ads for an estimated earning of $0.92! Im gonna keep plugging along.

Keep up the great work, and the great blog!

Thanks for youe encouragement and kind words 'Money Is The Root' and 'Buy Like Buffet.'

Money Is The Root… a drop from 8mil to 2 mil in two weeks is a great drop! You are well on your way! Though I am only one person, I will keep stopping by your site to give you a little extra boost!

I have found the last week a little frustrating.  The 'daily drops' in my ranking have been minimal, despite increases in traffic.  I have gone from 484,777 to 408,816 in 5 days.  The realization has hit me that the last 200,000 drop is going to be a much slower process than the first 4mil+ drop!  I have a few things planned for the coming month that I hope will step things up a little.  But all in all I am not overly patient so waiting for results is tough.  LOL!

Thanks Forest, I hope so.  I am getting a little frustrated by the slower pace lately.  I keep telling myself that a slow and steady drop is probably better from a long-term sustainability standpoint than a sudden drop.

Hey Challengers… are any of you as impatient as me?  :)

That's a very impressive drop in a short amount of time. Congratulations!

And, yes, I'm impatient like you. My ranking dropped below 600,000 for the first time today. It was good to see a number with a '5' in front of it.

Julie, congratulations!  I remember how nice it felt to see that 5, too!  You have a nice site… you'll hit your goal in no time!

I woke up this morning to see that I have officially dropped below 300,000, so I now have only 96,000 to hit the 200,000.  Since I suspect this 100,000 will be even slower than the previous 100,000 I am trying to be patient.  It is comforting to hear I am not the only impatient one!  LOL!
