Thanks to Yakezie, my RSS cup is overflowing! Decided to do a massive roundup!

Has anyone done a bigger roundup?!

That's a pretty big roundup. Kevin @ Investitwisely has done quite a few massive roundups!

I did one a few months back where I asked everyone for their favorite post of the year and included everyone who was then participating in Yakezie. It was pretty big but I enjoyed it!

Yakezie newbie here!  Just joined a few days back. But if you do another, I'll be sure to participate.  :)

Haha, I was going to come and promote myself, but you beat me to the punch! I would like to shrink the roundups, but I hate feeling that I left people out. I think I struck a pretty decent balance making it readable while still containing lots of links, but it does take some time to prepare…

One thing I've noticed with you is that you have pretty frequent roundups, sometimes 2x a week if not more. At least, sometimes it seems that way! Over a whole week you might have even more links than me…

Went through the same dilemma!  Been reading so many blogs I enjoy, wanted to share my appreciation! But you are right about the time it takes to prepare mega roundups.

Future roundups will be small, but I'm thinking of rotating links.

I use Evernote to clip articles I like.  I also use the Colt extension in Firefox where I can get an HTML-ready link when I right-click on a page.  I add this to my Evernote clip and my linking is tons easier!

Thanks Craig, I have an evernote account, may work out well, I use Chrome as my main browser sadly but the plugin may be available.

What I do is setup something like this in a notepad editor like NotePad++ or Crimson Editor:

<dl>

<dt><a href="url" target="_blank">title</a> (sitename)</dt><dd>desc</dd>

<dt><a href="url" target="_blank">title</a> (sitename)</dt><dd>desc</dd>

</dl>

or

<ul>

<li><a href="url" target="_blank">title</a> (sitename)</li>

<li><a href="url" target="_blank">title</a> (sitename)</li>

</ul>

Then I fill in the place holders with the actual info from the site. This is still time consuming, but faster than doing it through Wordpress's editor!
