You just got another Twitter follower and FB friend (once you accept)! Be sure to create a Facebook page for your blog (a business page like this one: http://www.facebook.com/knsfinancial).

For twitter, just do what others have said, follow people and begin to promote their posts and network with them. Here is a pretty comprehensive list of Yakezie Twitter accounts: http://twitter.com/#!/Bucksome/yakezie/members  – Just go down and click "follow" next to everyone's name. Many/most of them will follow you back and then comes the *fun* part!

If you're talking about things like Digg, Reddit, Stumble Upon etc…they key is to share other people's articles, not your own.  Then network and work with other folks in sharing votes.  A lot of sharing sites don't like when you sub your own stuff.

 

Twitter and Facebook – Share and like other people's stuff and your own.  Connect with friends, grow your network. 

 

There's a thread here somewhere that has most of our Facebook links in it.

Totally agree. I get a lot of traffic from Reddit. There is Personal Finance page set up. Stumble also drives some of my traffic.

With FB and Twitter – get friends and followers. The more people you follow, the more will follow you. Put some good quality tweets out there, not just your own stuff.

Also following you now on Twitter. Now you have 7 followers!

Good advice.  Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Stumble…  My head is spinning like a top!   Fun, fun, fun!

I just friended you on Fbook and followed you on Twitter! Great idea about it being more important to promote others articles vs your own! I need to do more of that!
