| | After I joined the Yakezie challenge I have had to pay ever more attention to writing, and having a multitude of post ideas germinating in my feeble mind long before they are ready for posting. One tool I make use of for developing blog ideas is Evernote. Here is a new post on using Evernote for capturing blog ideas: http://www.thadthoughts.com/2012/02/evernote-blog-idea-starter/ What do you use to capture your ideas? | |

| | I love Evernote. I totally use it to clip articles to read or use as reference or roundups. I'll also keep snippets of code handy and map out ideas there. I have the clipper in my tool bar. | |

| | I like evernote, but I'm leaning towards digital tape recorder. I spend about two hours on the road almost every day, and it's when I get some of my best ideas. Unfortunately, one crazy driver later and I can't remember anything. I think being able to record my thoughts may help me hold on to my ideas, and with any luck, be only mildly traumatizing. | |

Have you tried the voice recorder app for Evernote? I assume their Android app has that function and know for a fact the iPhone app does. That is the best of both worlds. Now, if it just transcribed the voice recording and indexed it, it would be truly a killer app!

| | Evernote is great. Lucky for me my kids give me increased inspiration to have stuff handy years in advanced. | |

That's the truth! On a side note, I wish like everything smart phones had been around when my daughter was a baby. I have birthday videos shot with a giant VHS camera, and they are good, but not nearly enough.

Not related to Evernote, but the iPhone 4s has a little microphone button that you can tap that will transcribe voice. It's not perfect but it's good for short stuff.

| | I used evernote all of the time but not for blogging stuff. I find it a great way to capture information. I find it particularly useful for storing recipes. | |

I'm still on the android wagon. While I'm getting a new phone in November, I'm probably sticking with android, but if anyone knows of a similar thing for my Samsung, I'd love it!

| | Never heard of evernote, I am about to take a look at your blog and see if it can be of some use to me. I just hate switching from my phone with notes to my home computer with other notes. I need something to blend the 2 together. | |

| | I'm going to get it tonight and start using it. I use my gmail account as my reference/notekeeper/idea tracker and I can see this being a lot more efficient. I also recommend Skitch (from the Evernote people) for editing photos easily! I just used in my latest post: http://www.americandebtproject…..of-choice/ and it was fun and easy! | |

| | I heart evernote so very much. The fact that it automatically syncs from my home PC, my work PC, my laptop, my kindle, my cell phone, and my wife's cell phone.. is just something that is so very handy. I do use it for voice notes, and to take pictures. One find Yakezie blogger mentioned that she uses it to take pictures of receipts (for later categorization), which I have started doing as well. I take notes of all kinds in there… Grocery lists.. honey-do lists.. Blog ideas.. You name it. And its nice, because I know I will have those lists with me wherever I go. | |

| | I also use evernote, but more for media, I prefer the lightweight plain text editors for ideas, see notational velocity, resoph notes, and simple note for various examples. Lots of folks also seem to enjoy yojimbo, but I've never messed with that one. | |

| | Sitting at my desk, I use pen and paper to write down ideas. On a regular basis I just put them in a txt file on my PC. When I read my Google Reader on my iPad, I often use Instapaper to record the web page for later usage like linking to in in a blog post or to remind me of taking a certain action that I learned from the article. I have Evernote both on iPad and PC, but use it more on the PC. It is a great kind of "bookmark" tool for me. | |
