Today I see that my Alexa rating is at 214,303.  If I continue at my current pace I should be below the 200,000 mark in 3-4 days!  When I hit that mark I am going to have a special surprise for a couple Yakezie Challengers so stay tuned!

Thanks, guys.  It has been a fun journey thus far.  I started out on 2/18 with a ranking of 4,850,710… I never thought I'd see 200,000 by July (which is when I think the next review is), if ever!  Since then, I have had a steady decrease.  it hasn't always been a quick as impatient me would like, but it has been steady and consistent.  More importantly, I have already learned so much from all of you!

When I hit the 200,000 I will be announcing a little surprise that I hope will help and support a couple other Challengers out there.

My secret?  I wish I knew!  The bulk of my traffic actually comes from non-Yakezie referring sites.  I think the fact that I have new content every day helps drive traffic.  In the last month I have had 8000+ page views and 3700+ visitors (2600 unique).  I realize that is still small but it has given me encouragement as I see the numbers grow.

I hope as I continue to grow I can give back to the Yakezie community, and its members and challengers like so many of you have done for me.  Yakezie is truly a wonderful community of bloggers.

Congratulations!!  Just as an fyi, the Alexa jump will start to level off once you get below 200,000 unfortunately.  You have made great leaps, I just wanted you to know so you would not get frustrated if you see your ranking stall for a little bit.

Keep up the great work!

Yep good luck and congrats in advance! Alexa gets exponentially more difficult as you progress so you won't always be going up but you can get into a nice range.

Thanks for the support, everyone.  I thought I would announce that today, 4/17/11, I am officially below the 200,000 mark at 199,544.  This is indeed an exciting day for me!  Now, I promised a surprise and I will deliver.  I will announce it here in a separate thread, probably later today.  Stay tuned!
