Yell

I got suspended on Google+. Bah! It's dead in there anyway. Laugh

Anyone else ran into this problem?

yeppers – over a week ago.  Likely due to my not using my real name.

I was so upset I wrote a 4000 word post about.

Not.

I closed it and haven't looked back.

I haven't even gotten around to putting +1 up on my site! I will most likely do it soon, but I don't think you should worry about it coming down off your site. You'll still keep growing!

I only have a profile set up with my real name.  Although I only have like 4 people in my circles because no one I know uses it.

That is so strange you guys got kicked out. I only signed up a week or so ago and I haven't had an issue. If anything they should send you a warning email so you have the option to change stuff before you get kicked off.

Google is so touchy in every area…PR, Adsense, and now +1.  I don't understand why they would give people a hard time though, this +1 feature is their way of getting their foot in the door of social networking….they are trying to compete with Facebook…I would think that you would lower the barriers to entry instead of raising them.

Adding google +1 in your site has nothing to do with having a google plus personal account. Add the +1 to your site, it has been added to google analytics now, so it might be used in the searches in the future…

I use my own name so I don't expect any issue. Justin is right on. You have to comply with the big G if you want them to play nice with you.

I thought I remembered you said you were close to the $100 mark. I thought that was kind of the joke with Google AdSense, you finally get some traffic and make some money and they suspend you. You just have to cross your fingers they don't pick on you.

I get what they are trying to do, but they should probably set up a fan page format where real names aren't required.

Yeah I must have been the first one suspended like 2 weeks ago.  ;-)  I didn't care anyway.  I figured they would begin banning everyone that was in my circle since the vast majority of us use our pen names or blog names.  Whatever.  Won't kill me.

Google+ = Their Facebook like social networking thing

Google+1 = Their web page voting button

Yeah, it's not a huge deal getting banned from Google+.

The only problem is now I can't +1 you guys. Frown

They added +1 information in Google webmasters now too so I think it will effect search more and more.

Oh why can't you +1 the posts? All you need is a gmail address. I just got in google plus (my name is not a proper name either so I might be kicked out too), but I used to +1 the posts even before that. If you click on the +1, it asks for gmail login and then you are done, right?

Ahh, good old google.  It seems to me that they like to play calvinball with their services and when things dont go right on the playground they built, they kick you off – at any rate, I havent had problems, but i'm on there as my real name.  I suspect those that registered company/blog pages will continue to get booted.  I also suspect that there will be added features for biz pages, so i'm content to wait.  Besides, who can keep up with all the "social" networking and still have time for other things?

I guess Google associate my gmail address with that google+ account and restricted the +1?

I don't know. I was able to +1 before I got Google+, but now I can't…

Oh thats interesting. May be I should close my account voluntarily to make sure they won't disable my +1 ability with that gmail…
