This spam comment was very enlightening.  Love the part about "I know my comments do not relate to the topic"!

It’s so hard to get backlinks these days, honestly i need a backlink by
comments on your blog / forums or guestbook to make my website appear in
search engine. I am getting desperate Now! I know you’ll laugh while
reading this comment !!! Here is my website ** yet another "male enhancement" site **  I know my comments do not relate to the topic, but PLEASE HELP ME!! APPROVING MY COMMENT!

What I don't get is how hard is it to come up with a relevant comment?  I have a commenter named Henway that links to colonzone or something like that, but at least the comments are useful.  :-)

I doubt he's expecting anyone to actually approve it, he's probably just blasting it looking for the very small percentage of blogs that are unmoderated.   The message helps diffuse the obvious spam when a real human sees it.

How does spammer work? Is there a bot program or something to crawl through blogs?

I get some comments that hits pretty close to the topic sometime.
