Good Wednesday morning everyone! One thing I was curious about was if anyone has used or is currently using Google Adwords to generate paid traffic to their site?

I used them for a month or so when I first started, and was just curious if anyone had experience with them! Thanks in advance!Laugh

I tried early on but to be honest I really think concentrating on organic traffic is the way to go.

If you are going to be selling a product it can be good for seeing what keywords convert with a test campaign and then going after those words organically.

I used them for a month because Godaddy gave me a $100 Adwords credit when I first registered my site. I think its a very effective program but too costly. That $100 went by way too fast.

Totally agreed. I used them once for an accounting website I set up for another business I had. I paid a couple of hundred over a few months, got lots of hits and zero calls. It wasn't worth the money.

I pretty much agree with what's been said here. I didn't see the kind of results I would have expected for the money I put in, so I discontinued it as well. Thanks for everyone's opinion!

I remember hearing at one point that Google didn't like advertisers sending AdWords clicks to sites that have their AdSense code on it.  Some were doing this for arbitrage reasons:  send cheaper traffic to a site that pays off more with the outbound clicks.

I had some free credits with them and used it, but I didn't really see too much of an impact; just some traffic that usually insta-bounced.
