My Late Letter of Apology

First and foremost, I want to apologize to all of you for disappearing without a word of explanation. I can list plenty of excuses trying to justify myself but I won’t. Because at the end, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that I was gone, so was my site and email and all connection you ever had with me. I should have said something BEFORE I pulled this plug. All of you deserve so much more than this belated apology.

I can only imagine how you all feel – betrayed, disappointed, stunned.

There is nothing I can say or do to rectify my actions. I wasn’t brave enough to say that I am leaving. I was selfish enough to choose the easy way out.

I am very sorry I was a pig (read moron) and disappeared without even saying goodbye (I hate goodbyes by the way – not trying to rationalize anything, just saying..). If I hurt anyone and I am sure I did, it was not my intention. I broke your trust and I regret it more than words can express. I am deeply, sincerely sorry!

If you want to throw stones at me, please do so… If you decide to ignore this message, I understand. No matter what you decide I want you to know this:

Thank you for all of your support, encouragement, motivation and mentoring! I met great people here. and I am very grateful for this. You guys rock! I am very sorry that I was such a disappointment.

I'm disappointed you're not with us, nothing more, nothing less.  Your support for so many people @ Yakezie was unsolicited, unwavering and given selflessly. We miss you.

Hi Aloysa,

The last thing I'd want to do is to throw a stone at you. I'm sincerely sad to see you go; I've greatly enjoyed your posts and commentary, and you were (and are) a star Yakezie member. I do hope that you'll reconsider, but either way, I'm sure the door here will always be open for you!

Not disappointed, surprised.  But I'm sure you had a good reason.

I enjoyed your blog and will always appreciate the fact you never missed a single post of mine.  Good luck Aloysa!

Hey Aloysa…please don't feel bad. You don't have to apologize, or duck stones. I really enjoy your writing and was just shocked that you decided to walk away. I hope you do choose to leave your blog up and maybe accept a bunch of guest posts until you can have more time to consider the future of the site.

Thank you guys so much! I've  read this thread and another one (sent by a good Samaritan and a good blogger friend) where you all discussed my sudden disappearance. I felt bad but at the same time I felt good. It was good to see that you guys genuinely worried about me. It made me feel at home. It also made me feel as an asshole

Thank you! I am around and I still read your blogs and I will support you as much as I can. Meanwhile, I am still sorting things out.

For those who worried if mafia came after me - no. It was not mafia. It was my work and some other personal stuff, and the pressure became too much and I pulled the plug. I almost just said that I will write a post about it. Oh well… there is no website to write.

I am around. Let's keep in touch!

Hey Aloysa,

Glad you're still around.  I think your head is just messing with you.  I don't think there is anyone here that will cast a stone at you.  I think you can see people were just shocked and miss you.  Hope things turn around for you.  You were one of the first ones to push me along.  Won't forget it.  Take care and keep in touch! Smile

Good advice.  Brian at My Next Buck only published guest posts for months.  Leaving the blog live gives you options.

I'm confused…did you sell your site? I still see it up?

No worries on having life throw you a curve and get in the way of your site.  I think it happens to all of us at times.
