For those on the fence or not sure what the benefits are…
1) You get new readers and constant promotion
2) Is number one not enough?
3) Your team is like a mini support group and it also helps you make new blogger friends. I find that I still visit blogs of those from previous teams just because.
4) You don't have to beg for likes or followers in the forums because your teammates are helping you expand your reach.
5) As a challenger, it helps you on your member application because you will have made connections with members as well.
6) Lastly, it takes all of 10 minutes a day to keep up with the teams.

I'll second what LaTisha said.
I set up a folder in my Firefox bookmarks with all of my group sites. Once a day, I'll click Open All and will get them all pop up at once. I'll go through site by site and give a few clicks and will try to comment on new articles as well.
That's 2-4 clicks per day with Alexa juice, multiplied by as many group members follow the same schedule.
Especially for challengers looking to make big strides in your Alexa scores (and based on the number of posts celebrating various milestones, I think that's a good number), this can help you in a huge way. I usually notice a bump within a couple of weeks of teams forming.
Plus, since it sounds like a lot of members are participating, you'll get exposure to those blogs. Many of those blogs have high RSS counts, high readers, and since you'll be getting your stuff in front of them, you'll then have more opportunity to get featured in their roundup posts or tweets. This can only help you.
Or, I could just say, if you're not signing up, you're missing out on a lot. So sign up!

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

LaTisha and MoneyBeagle –> great advice! I will set up bookmarks for the blogs. This will make it so much easier to keep up with everyone.
Thanks again!

signed up. FYI, there's another thread with teams on the forum as well! They should probably be consolidated. I'll look for the other thread and let them know.

And just for the record–when it comes to commenting, make it a worthwhile effort. Don't drop a one-liner, or something half-assed. Make an effort to actually read a post now and then and try to add something in the comments. Remember, it's not just about links or Alexa, it's about getting to know the other bloggers and building the community. You aren't going to be able to do that with "nice!" or "great ideas".

I am in as well, especially given the thought SB has put into the rules.
His advice on sharing, blogrolls etc makes sense. Being on a team isn't about shouting it out all the time that you are on a "BLOG TEAM!!!"
Your non-blogger readers don't care and will probably be turned off by it anyway. Under the radar is where we like to be in this time of G smackdowns.
Covert, not overt.
