Yes, very good idea. Also good to leave the page(s) open for awhile.

Regarding number on teams; 8 is enough. Otherwise it is too unwieldy. If people drop off…. you have next round. In blogging, it's easy to over commit for those of us part timers. Keep it reasonable so we can fulfill our commitments.

I vote for 10 per team. Our last team had around 15 and 5 disappeared within the first few weeks for personal reasons, but having 10 people left after that really helped keep us all motivated, and we all ended up doing quite well.

BTW – thanks so much for organizing new teams!

I vote for a group size of 8…

I am really looking forward to getting to know some new bloggers, but I want to leave time to visit all of my old friends as well..

My gReader is crowded these days, you see? :-)

Teams will be formed in less than 24 hrs. 47 participants so far. Any last minute entrant here? And with majority decision teams will be of 8 members.

I always try to get a main page click, an article click, and if you leave comments this will give some additional clicks as well.

That's a great number.

Heads up, there are always people that come in after the fact that either missed out or didn't understand the specifcs.  In any case, there's usually a rush where you can either form another team, let them form their own team, or assign them as add-ons to original teams.

Just a heads up.

Teams are great. I'll skip however this time but will keep visiting blogs of old team mates and friends. Success with the new teams.
