Day 11 – Come up with 10 Post Ideas for Your Blog

One of
the biggest challenges facing bloggers with blogs that have been around
for longer than a few months is to come up with fresh content on a
regular basis.

Today your task in the 31 Days to Build a Better
Blog challenge is to do an exercise that will identify a range of post
ideas that you can use when stuck for an idea in future.

I keep a running list of post ideas too.  I suggest carrying a small pad to write down ideas because you never know what will inspire you.  Or sometimes I write it down in my cell phone's Notes section…a few times I even called myself to leave a detailed voicemail!

Where is the first few days of this challenge? i would like to start from the beginning. But I do have a running list on my desk right now. And if that one gets boring, I have keyword list that I am attacking as well that I use for filler on the site which still provides good, relevant information.

The first 10 days are all under the Blogger's Lair forum area – the first few actually are spelled out, "31 Days to Build a Better Blog…".

Right, I got lazy in typing them out! :)

I have a two month schedule written out in advance with ideas written in for four days a week. Sometimes I do them, sometimes I don't, sometimes I add something spontaneous, sometimes I'm busy and only post twice in a week. I'm not short on ideas, but I am short on time to research and write!

I've been getting some great ideas since being here.  Also, I check out current events and things in my life for use as posts.  Being that I have one or two standard posts that I'll go to as well such as a weekly round-up, a weekly "cheap" video and a freebie post of the week.  Those don't all occur every single week, but they're my "back-up" plan.  I try to have at least 2 thought provoking posts per week and then 1-2 "filler".  :)

I'm digging my way out of some serious debt at

This is a good idea. I've exhausted many of my ideas lately and need to dip back into the creative vault and come up with some more. :)

Bumping for June Build Your Blog Month. I must have missed doing it yesterday!

I still have a list of ideas and more ideas than time to write them!

This is exactly what I was looking for today, after a couple months it's becoming harder to come up with ideas ;)  The approach is one I haven't tried before.

Just FYI, the second link doesn't appear to be working.

I too have a running list of ideas for both the blog and the site.  I do like this mind mapping idea of using existing posts and extending them so will be doing that as well.

I've got about 10 pages of stuff stashed in evernote.   When I need an idea, I just scroll through until something jumps out at me.
