Day 5 – Email a Reader
A lot of bloggers spend so much time trying
to find NEW readers that they fail to care for the ones that they already have.
This can result in you losing readers and can also result in you failing to
capitalize on a powerful force that is at your finger tips – word of
mouth.
Today your task is to pay some personal attention to at least one
new reader to your blog (more if you have the time).

Done! I've e-mailed 4 new readers, answering a question one had and thanking the other three for their comments and directing them to related posts. Let's see if it helps! :)

Blogging relationships are really important to me and I enjoy emailing new readers. I email new readers whenever I have a minute.

What do you think about using a plugin to automatically thank commenters? I like the idea of using one of these plugins and remind people to sign up for my newsletter.

I am currently using one of these plugins after I encountered it at another site. I'm using " Thank Me Later", but be careful as the default configuration sends out an email every time; I changed the configuration to only send out this email the first time.

I just answered two emails this morning from new readers and I respond to all comments (or try to…I think one of two on older posts fall through the cracks if I don't catch them right off the bat…).

I answer every single email I get and try to respond to every comment. I'll keep that up for as long as I blog I hope since the community is the reason I love it.

OK, I am not so sure how to find the email address of a commenter on my site. I use blogger.
Advice?
