So I'm thinking what could we do for a wager on the super bowl that would be fun and community building? And I came up with the office game of picking intersection squares on a matrix of points. This is a great short-notice wager. For example, if the score was NY 21, NE 20, then the last digit of each score is found, and the intersection is the winner, in this case below (in the matrix) blog2. No you don't choose numbers, they are randomized after the grid is filled.
Usually, prizes are paid out each quarter, and for the end of the game. The entry fee is usually cash, but I thought we could do this blog style. I suggest the following prizes, and the entry fee bring willing to perform the actions within a week of posting the winners.
First Quarter score winner: Everyone goes to visit the selected blog and visits at least 3 pages
Second Quarter score winner: Everyone follows the winner on twitter
Third Quarter score winner: Everyone posts at least one meaningful comment
Final Game score winner: Everyone includes the winning blog in a post and links to the winner
If we have enough interest (obvious max of 100 people) this would work well. With less people, we can still do it, I'd just start repeating entries in the order received. If you're interested, reply below with your blog and I'll put you in the game. If there is interest, I'll get a post up about this so that you can track where you're at and everything is on the up and up.
What do you all think? If you're in reply below. I'll try and update this post later too with a link.
