Ad Affiliates

Hi all,

Are all of you connected to ad affiliates and if so, which ones?  As the new year comes around the corner, just making sure I'm not missing anything.  When I first started, I setup Adsense so it didn't appear like I was selling out. Embarassed Don't want readers to think "Oh, great, he's now selling out to Ad Affiliates!"  Just want to be kosher with everyone. Laugh

Thanks!

The only ads I have now are Adsense, Amazon, and the links and widgets that are paid for by month.

I used to use Adbrite as well (like Adsense), but their definition of family friendly and my readers' definition of family friendly didn't mesh (I think one of their ads was a busty blonde or burnett from Russia that said "Come and Play"…I ended up having to remove them in less than a few weeks).  I also used to have a Lending Tree affiliate widget, but it never made me anything so I took it down.

From here on out, I will only put up ads that either pay by month or by views/clicks like Adsense…no more free space to affiliates that only pay for people who sign up.  I don't want to feel the need to "push" products all the time to produce any monetary results.  (Ironic since my post today is riddled with Amazon links, but those are all products I actually bought from Amazon for Christmas presents, lol)

I only use Adsense advertising and Amazon affiliate's program. I wasn't seeing results from all the others – Commissions Junction, etc….

I just signed up for flexoffers but I am not planning to put up their banners/widgets just use the affiliate links when I am writing about something relevant.

I agree with Crystal – I now only put up ads that pay me in views (CPM) or clicks or have paid an upfront advertiser fee.  I haven't had any success with CJ or Flex Offers, etc.  Currently I am using Adsense, direct ad sales, Lijit (CPM) and Advertising.com (CPM).

Thanks Crystal!  Might need to look into Amazon.  I'm experimenting with my webhost affiliate program.  Kinda like their service so giving it a try. Laugh

Thanks Mark!  Trying out my webhost company's program.  I'm guessing most people coming through already have a webhosting company.  But we'll see how it goes. Cool

Check out the 2 threads about 123linkit.  They are working to improve their offering, however, some posts get reformated.  Once they fix this we will re-activate their plugin.

How are those of you using Amazon, CJ, Flex, etc doing revenue wise? I think I've made 17 cents from Amazon. No luck with CJ or Flex, but that's all my fault for not taking the time to get ads and links set up. I recently added Mint as an affiliate and I think it might work out better – Mint's free, a great product, and beneficial to readers.

I haven't had any luck with FlexOffers either. I would be curious to hear if they have worked for any of you all..

Flex kicked me out for no reason. Said I was getting dodgy traffic and stole my commissions. I never did anything wrong and they would not reinstate me.

I would add the following:

Clickbank (similar to Linkshare, CJ or Flex Offer)

INO (investment courses)

YNAB (You Need A Budget)

Credit.com (credit cards and other credit products)

I made about $2000 with Flex Offers last year.  I also made a little money with CJ and a tiny amount of money from  Amazon but Flex Offers was easily my best performing affiliate program.
