Adding Audio To Blog Posts Using iPhone Voice Recorder

Hi Folks,

I was playing around with the iPhone voice recorder today, and realized the audio quality is pretty darn good and easy to use.  I'm thinking of introducing a 1 minute audio clip to my posts to help add a new dimension and kick start a discussion.

Once an audio record is done, I can e-mail it to myself.  Once it's downloaded, it goes into an itunes library.  From there, I'm kind of stuck.  I uploaded the file into a blog post and a link shows up, but it doesn't go to audio.

I know I must be missing a step.  Am I supposed to convert the format of the file to something?  I must, but don't know how.  Any advice?

I'd also love to have some type of function where a reader can just press the PLAY button that's embedded in the blog post to hear the intro.

Thanks,

Sam

Regards,

Sam

Sam, you might need a plugin like this one - http://wordpress.org/extend/pl…..owerpress/ If you want them to just download then upload it to your media and provide a link. For embedded player, the powerpress is a good one.

In iTunes Preferences > General – select Import Settings.

Change to MP3 Encoder.

After confirming, right click on the file title. You should have a Convert to MP3 option.

Once this is done, you should be able to use a simple plugin like WP Audio Player to embed the audio file in your page.

Let me know if it works

I just used the WPAudio on my post yesterday if you want to see how the audio file looks. I like the fact that it's playable right inside the post instead of just a link to another tab for the mp3. It was pretty simple to use.
