How did you find advertisers and how did you get them to post to your blog?  What advertisers are, in your opinion the best?

I think they will find you once your rank improves. but no harm in reaching out, try your luck and approach few fellow yakezies if they can give you contacts

This was something that I struggled to accept in the first year that I was blogging. If you simply focus on building your blog, your community, and writing good content, advertisers will email you (as long as you have a contact form or your email address on your blog).

That is a million dollar question Frugal Student Smile

I am not sure what the advertisers look for, but I never get people to come to me. So I do reach out to advertisers. I found some using adsense (who advertises in adsense). That worked out well. Other than that I don't know what would work.

Here in Yakezie people have had great success with ads. From what I gathered the advertisers come to them, so keep working on that ranking and content.

Every guest post request you get, if they want to link to a business, tell them that is considered advertising and you'd be happy to discuss rates.  You'll end up getting a lot of "guest post" requests which you should consider sponsored, not guest.

Is there a way to have people be able to email you though your blog without adding your email to your blog?

Try one of these -

You can always create a google form and embed in your page if nothing works…

If you go via the google forms route, make sure you check the "email me right away" and "email me when someone submits this form".

I didnt get much interest for about 6 months, but everyone is right – you need to have quality content and be easily contactable – once your site gets good, they'll find you, usually.  I havent had much luck reaching out to them, but I have had some so it IS worth a shot.

1. create a google spread sheet,

2. click on form menu,

3. once form opens, add fields on to the form

4. When you are done, save and click on 'embed' menu

5. copy the code from pop up page

6. paste it on your webpage, which is designated for contacts

7. who ever submits the form, you will see a row added to your google spread sheet.

Hope it helps

Just adding one more step :) 4(a) Click on the check boxes "email me right away" and "email me when someone submits this form". Otherwise a row will be added but you won't be notified.

Hi Frugal Student!

Just wanted to chime in and say that in the beginning I thought I'd never get any advertising revenue. But once it comes, they multipy it seems like (I think they see each other on your blog and then they need to get their own link on your blog). Hang in there! I have only ever contacted one advertiser, the rest have come to me.
