Earlier today I received an advertisement offer for my blog. Any tips on how to respond or how much to charge for each service? I would greatly appreciate it! Please see the message below
Recently we visited your website, and would like more information
regarding advertising. We would like to pursue one of two advertising
formats:
1. A text link ad on your homepage (only). About 15 words long and
containing one to three links. OR
2. An article relevant for your site (containing links to our
website), with a site-wide link pointing to the article on your blog.
About our business: We recommend to consumers a safe and easy way to
apply for short-term loans. Please let us know how much would you
charge for these advertising formats. We appreciate your attention and
look forward to working with you.

That offer sounds like it is from either Jessica Moser or Elisa :)
I don't want to put my rates in the public forum, I will email them to you if you would like.

Chances are Suba's prices are pretty fair.
Stick to your guns in negotiations is all I can add.

Do you have an advertiser page? Is that how you went about getting the interest up?

Keep your chin up and give it time! It is very easy to get discouraged.

They contacted me. I do not have an advertiser page, many say that you should have one, and many say that advertisers ignore them anyways. It probably can't hurt, but I'm going to delay adding one, since the stats tend to change so often and I don't feel like monitoring it daily, or even weekly.
Im not sure if the recent Google PR bump from 0 to 3 helped or not…but I have been running the blog for almost 5 months before getting much attention, and now I have had a couple emails, could just be luck, or maybe Im turning a corner, who knows.
I did secure an ad for a year as of yesterday. I gave them the price, they countered, I countered, they countered again, and then I accepted LOL.
Suba and Jacob were very helpful in how to handle this, they are a wealth of useful info for me! They could charge people for the advice they give, yet they do it for free, so I genuinely appreciate it.

Glad you were able to come to an agreement on the deal! It really is exciting to make some money with your blog isn't it! And, this is only the beginning; there should be plenty of great things to come! :)

Congrats on the ad! I suspect your recent bump in PR had something to do with it!

Have you ever approached by sites offering free 'premium' educational packages for your readers? If yes, do you charge the course providers for putting up their offer on your blog? or since it ads value to your readers, you do it for free?

I have had many other "wolves in sheeps clothing" requests… but not this one specifically.
I had to generalize/stereotype…but I am willing to bet their educational packages are benefiting themselves more than you or your readers. i would say that you absolutely should charge them.

What type of 'free' premium educational packages? Is that a teaser and there is a high priced product behind that, is it genuinely free all the way? What are they offering in these packages?

Its about a course package that encourages save and debt free life. It basically builds strong will power, they claim that…I will go with asking for a price as money is the root says

I've had pretty good luck with my advertising page. Sometimes I give a small discount, but at least it's a great starting point. when I started my first paid As went for $33 a month, that was over a year ago and the last of my Ad that is at the level.
From past articles, I know that Suba charges pretty close to what I charge.
Good luck, I'm excited for you :)
