How have the groups worked in the past? Is it just a support team that makes a point to visit and comment regularly on each other's sites?

Mine's rising too, which is sad for the Debt Myth because I'd just gotten under 200K and now it's back over…

I found that the groups help drop my ranking down really quickly since everyone from here has the Alexa bar installed. It never hurts to try.

I totally missed the whole team thing somehow before this thread. Where are the signups and whatnot?

Mine Alexa has started dropping rapidly since joining the Slacker team, which is wonderful.  I've been doing my best to get caught up on everyone else's blogs after getting sick, and I've pulled together a list of my favorite recent posts (mostly from my team but including some other Yakezie blogs) to go up tomorrow or Friday.  The Stumble group has helped some too, but I keep not getting around to sending out more links.

The teams run for a two month period and I believe it is currently running through Dec. A topic for Jan-Feb should be out soon. My problem is that I always seem to miss the topic and thus have not yet signed up for the teams.

If we both manage to miss the Jan-Feb team assignments, I'll make it a point to email you and we can assemble an unofficial group.

I have been a member of a group for November and now December.  My actual traffic increased 50% per Google Analytics.  I realize that many of these visitors do not have an Alexa bar, but the group members do.  The number of comments has increased because of the group (15 memebers). Something else is going on!  As recently as the beginning of October I was as low as 82K and now I am in 98K.   The number of comments were similar but I did change my publishing dates from M, TH & Sat to M, W, & F.  That is the only real change.  I wonder if that is enough to have a nealy 20% change?

You lost me on this one.  How does commenting here boost Alexa on your site?  Unless you mean that people are going to click through to your site via the signature link?  Otherwise, I don't see any correlation between the two.

Hope it turns around in Jan & Feb especially with the group thing. The funny thing is traffic is doing well, in fact it may be the highest it's ever been, but reader engagement could be better.

I've had a very similar amount of change as you.  It's a bummer but since it's happening to all of us hopefully it's just a seasonal and temporary thing.
