Hey everyone,

I just want to share our success story on Amazon Associate last month.

Amazon shipped 36 items and we made $25.91 in referral fee!

I know it's not much, but $25 is amazing compare to the $2 we made last year.

Anyway, hopefully we'll be able to keep increasing our Amazon earning in the future.

Tip – Add affiliate links in as many articles as you can. People click over and then they browse and buy all kind of stuff.

Do you have any success with your affiliate efforts? Please share your strategy and tips.

That sounds very encouraging.  I am all ears as far as folks' tips about affiliate links and placements to maximize return.

That's awesome! I got about $15 the other day from them. I know it's not much, but when I got absolutely nothing from them last year I'll take it. It was a good reminder to me to include more links to items from Amazon in my posts.

Emily & Melissa:

Do you have a relative in another state whose address you can use? Colorado I'd blocked as well, but my native NJ isn't.

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

I had one month where I made about $50 or so, but I usually earn less than $10/month now.

By the way Edward, you just became a lot cooler since you're from my state! Wink

Edward: Sure, we could get around the law, but we don't want to be cheater-y.  We will wait until Kyle moves to another state and then set it up.

It takes a lot of Amazon sales to add up to much.  I usually make less than $10 a month which is still better than the less than $10 a year I used to make. I've started using Amazon for the images I add to my posts.  I get very few sales for items I actually link to, most sales are from people clicking on one of my links and then buying something else.

The only time we've gotten traction on Amazon was when we mentioned Amazon on our podcast. Then listeners clicked on the Amazon links only because they wanted to help support the podcast. Besides that, I think someone bought some motor oil once. Motor oil? Amazon? What makes you come to my site and think, hmm….I should get motor oil!

My best time for Amazon is the end of the year holidays.  I'll usually put a banner up.  It doesn't bring in tons but you never know what people might buy with the cookie on their site.  I've seen a couple of TVs, what must have been a teacher buying books for their class, and a number of colorful items.

It probably works the best when you have a specific product you are talking about.

About 3 months ago I made $131 from someone who decided to shop for (what seemed to be) his city.

It's a great feeling. Congrats

Wow, $131! That's awesome! Laugh

Did they buy a bunch of small items or a few expensive things?
