I just saw a post from Go Be Rich about having joined the Yakezie Challenge. Because Go Be Rich is also a military member (like myself), I was wondering if there are any other military folks in the Yakezie. I think it might be cool to do some link exchanges or exchange some posts about military lifestyle and finances.

 

I know that's one area of my site which hasn't been getting a whole lot of attention recently. Anyone else wear around here wear a uniform to work?

Hi Pat, Thank you for serving. I don't wear the uniform, but my wife does. She is a Navy meteorologist. I'm a mil-spouse. I enjoy blogging about military issues occasionally, althoug I'm more focused on the broader personal financial issues that we all face, military folks included. Having said that, there are plenty of issues unique to military people.

I was in the Navy active duty for six years and reserves for another seven.  Not only that, but I was a military brat growing up.

 

Even though I didn't encourage, both my sons still stints in the military.  The youngest just left the Air Force Reserve after six years.  We're one of those families that has generations of vets.

Glad to hear there's a couple of people with links to the military around here. Probably not enough for a military article exchange, however. As far as my branch/ job, I'm a Naval Aviator.
