I've used Viglink for about 3 months. For my "main" affiliate programs, I sign up directly so I get 100%, but VigLink is nice for all those other "miscellaneous" links on my site that I might not have time to get to, but could be affiliated.

Have you seen any income from it at all?

Yes, I have, but like I said it's all residual programs I'm not a part of, so it's been minimal.

I have been looking for this! Fantastic stuff.  I had talks with 123LinkIt which is a plug in that I think does the same thing.  I am going to check these guys out

Do you know how much of % they take? Is it the same as Viglinks?

It's not nearly as much.

I found the product to be flawed.  The links took a lot of massaging (edits, removals) to make them appear seamless in our site and we had the links re-set on us and we had to re-create (and fix) them.  Perhaps they've made them better but after our first 3 attempts to use 123LinkIt I gave up – too much work.

Sustainable PF,

I found the same thing which is why I don't use 123LinkIt.  I had a 45 min convo with the plug ins founder in January and haven't had an email since so I am guessing she is either giving up or letting it run with those people that don't care about details like you and I.

This is why VigLinks may be a cool opportunity.  I wish it were a plug in with options doesn't seem to be though

There is a wordpress plug-in for Viglink but it doesn't have any options. What kind of options would you want anyhow? (just curious)

I use the Viglink plugin. Sunil, I like the potential of Viglink. Viglink works best for a site that has posts about products. I didn't have many at all so my first month or two didn't generate much revenue. I think it was like 5 bucks a month. I have slowly started adding more products to my sites (books) so the payouts have been slowly rising. I still haven't crossed $100 yet but last month my clicks and payout were much higher. I figure if you have a site that talks about a lot of products, you can make a pretty good amount of income.

I signed up for Viglinks, just as kind of a catch all for any links I'm not affiliated with.

I'd be interested also to see how it performs.

Off top of my head:

-  Choosing max amount of links on each post

-  Choosing age of posts to go on

-  Option to cloak the links

-  Option to decide which advertisers to use or not use

FYI (if you're curious about going down this path):

Off top of my head:

-  Choosing max amount of links on each post (Viglink only monetizes things you've already linked to in a post)

-  Choosing age of posts to go on (if you're concerned about how the links look, it's not an issue, see below)

-  Option to cloak the links (All links are cloaked–VigLink monetizes your own links so nothing looks like an affiliate link)

-  Option to decide which advertisers to use or not use (that would be a good one!)

I think that they have a "blacklist" for advertisers that you don't want to use, but I think you have to login to the dashboard at their website in order to add sites to it.

Thanks Wojo. So it is mainly to take advantage of affiliate programs I am not actually part of… Good info… Thanks. I will also give it a try.

Searching for the alternative options to Amazon affiliate thread, brought me this. I thought I will update this thread with my experience.

I started using viglinks sometime mid-may.

Advantages:

I use direct affiliate links (from flexoffers/cj/linkshare) for most of my main products. So viglinks is a catch all for stuff that wouldn't have affiliated anyway. So the money is extra money. It is hovering a little more than $10, but as I said, I never would have earned this $10 in the first place

It does not randomly add links. If you already have links, it adds the affiliate code to it while redirecting. So even you won't notice the links. This should answer Evan's concern on limiting on links per post. It is as much links you already have. And cloaked.

You cannot blacklist merchants (I couldn't find that in the dash board at least). But if you don't link to that merchant in the first place, you are essentially blacklisting them anyway.

Everything is automated, so no work on my part.

Disadvantages

I am not sure about this yet, I still running tests, so this might or might not be true – it slows down my site a bit. It does uses js and calls are a little inefficient than others. It is not super slow but if you site is already slow, then this could pose a problem.

Let me know if anyone have any questions.
