My wife has been hounding me to find out about this since she has some mommy bloggers in her network that have been using it and their Adsense (supposedly) has been more than quadrupled since incorporating all their ad networks.

Here's the link in case you haven't heard of it:  Google DFP

I won't pretend to know what it does, but here's the gist….

You to need to have at least 3 ad networks and then you run them all trough DFP.   Google will then compete to run the ads that payout more than the  competing ad networks making it a win-win for all parties.   Overall, higher CPM for you.

Still don't quite understand hence why I'm reaching out here.   Wink

That actually looks pretty cool.  I've got my own adserv set up, so most of my banners run off of that, but it looks like they'd do it too and have a few more capabilities.  I'm interested to see if anyone else has used it at all, and what their reaction has been.

Of course, the conspiracy theorist in my questions giving Google that much insight into my site. Surprised

I've looked into it a while back but couldn't get my head around configuring it (doesn't mean it's hard, could be me).  I'd like to give it another serious look though.

What really got me interested was that this mommy blogger who figured it out was making about $600/mo of Adsense before DFP.  After incorporating it, she's now making about $2400/mo.   That's what caught my attention.

Basically, it was making Adsense compete against her other ad networks to find the highest ad buyer.

Now this is in the mommy blogger world where CPM's are generally lower.  I could only imagine in the personal finance niche.

Luckily, I just learned that my wife has a mommy blogger connection that we're going to pay to set it up right.   She charges $100/hour (yikes) but says it should only take about an hour an half.  Knowing it would take me two full weekends to try and figure this out and most likely I wouldn't, I figure it's well worth it.

I'll report back with any findings…..

I'd love to hear what you find out!

I'd also be interested in hearing what these other networks are.  What exactly is Adsense competing against?  I can see if there are CPM networks to compare with but most of my stuff is affiliate (if it isn't adsense).

1. Yes.

2. I have no idea.   Yell

Let's just say that I'm using it, I'm just not sure if I'm using it effectively.   It's been live for 2 months and I haven't seen a huge jump in Adsesne or any of my other ad networks.  I just made some tweaks over the weekend so hopefully I'll have something concrete to report soon.

I will say the setup was really complex; at least for me.  There are some really great tutorials on the web but it's still very confusing.
