Hi everybody!  I am soooo excited about the Financial Blogger Conference, and now I have heard about Blog World in L.A. in early November.  I am a big wussy and rather not go if there won't be anyone there that I "know".  Laugh  Anyone else going?  If you are, which ticket did you pick?  http://www.blogworldexpo.com/2…..n-pricing/

I believe this is open to blogger community, not for only PF bloggers. Community over at problogger would jump and run towards this. no wonder price is so high

I am debating too. I am attending another conference the week after that. So still thinking… This one is costlier than world domination summit. I thought that was the most expensive one. I will probably attend I guess…

This looks fascinating. It also looks too expensive for my budget. If I lived in SoCal I'd strongly consider it.

I'll be at FINCON though!

I am going for a couple of days.  I bought the expo pass.  There are some codes you can get it at 50% off.

Sorry, I won't be there. I have to travel so much for work this fall that I can't afford any more weeks away. I need to get other stuff done. I am sure it will be a blast though.

I would love to go, but November is (what I think) will be a huge month for the markets. It would be interesting, but every year I can't get away in November.

Kay Lynn, the schedule is not out yet right? Which days did you choose? The difference between 2 day and 3 day pass is huge. If one of those days is not that great, I would go for 2 day pass.

In any case, I will be going at least for 2 days. I am spending too much on conference tickets Embarassed the 2 day pass would make me cross $3000 in just conference tickets just this month… fun!

I am skipping that one and focusing on our community with FINCON. Maybe someday. If it were in my city I would certainly go, but it gets expensive to go to too many conferences around the country.

Suba – which other blogging conferences do you attend? I've never attended one nor have many others I'll bet (FINCON will be my 1st), so I'm just curious as to what they're like & the value proposition.

Squirrelers, it is not just blogging conferences, the one I am attending the week after Blog World is an investing conference actually. I figured I really need that knowledge :) But other than that, I already bought Blog Her, WDS 2012 (that one was expensive) and Savvy blogging summit. There is blissdom and SXSW. Those I don't think I will be attending.

What do you gain from these conferences. Fincon is understandable, but the other ones…

I understand you get to know people and get to know advertisers. but there are online workaround to these. So basically whats the value for money at $2000 +

Did you decide Crystal?

For me the extra value comes from different things based on conferences. Some I go for pure knowledge, some networking, some pure fun like Blog Her. I am not an extrovert. So far, I have not met many people/advertisers at the conferences. Blog Her I didn't learn anything :) but the phone I got from HTC itself retails for over $700 so I would say I got plenty of ROI for the money I spent on Blog Her. Most of the time, for me, it is for the sheer amount of knowledge.

I haven't made up my mind yet…

@Kay Lynn, which 2 days did you pick?

@Suba, which 2 days would you pick if you only picked 2 days?  Or are you close to splurging for all 3?  That price difference between 2 days and 3 days stings just to look at, but now I will be trying to find those 50% off codes that Kay Lynn mentioned…

No I am still on the fence. I asked Kay Lynn the same question (a couple of posts ago) :) Without the schedule I am not able to pick one. If I had to, I will pick Friday/Sat just because it will be one less day for me to take off from work. Other than that I have no idea. I am not sure I want to pay almost $500 extra for one extra day. I found 50% off coupons for the expo, but not for the main conference. The max I could find was 20% off for the actual conference. If you manage to find one, can you let me know? Thanks!

If you can't find a 50% off for the conference, I will send you the 20% off coupon. Every bit helps…

That conference is too expensive for me. Plus I would have a lot more travel expenses.

I'll see you at FINCON.
