While Google isn't using Authorship in it's rankings yet, it definately looks like that day is comming. I found this tool on Google+ earlier today that helps you figure out how well you are doing for building up your author rank.

My understanding is that it is a 10 point logarithmic scale, like MozRank. I'm at 5.92 and I know that some of the sites I'm working on are lowering my score.

Mine appears to be 6.39 – have quite a bit of work to do. For the ones who want to build their 'author rank' there are three important things (I gather):
1) To write;
2) To write on variety of blogs, sites etc.
3) to link to these publications through the Google+ profile
That's all and very useful it is. If you search in Google for 'money management' I am the third entry or so; and it isn't my blog, it is my Google+ profile.

Interesting. I'm at 4.96 but JUST started using Google Authorship, so I wonder if that plays into it or not.
