I used to retweet manually dozens of tweets from my favorite bloggers every week until I found this really cool tool.
I use Hootsuite to manage social medias and recommend you do, as you can manage your FB, Twitter and
other accounts all in one place.
If you go into settings and RSS, you can schedule Hootsuite to check automatically your favorite blogs' feeds and RT
their new posts. That should be a great time saver as they will shrink the URL and add the Twitter handle, well, do it all
for you!
Now that you have saved so much time, please consider adding Reach Financial Independence to the list!
Let me know if you have and I'll be happy to add you back.
My RSS feed is http://feeds.feedburner.com/reachfinancialindependence
Cheers!

I never noticed that before. Thanks for the tip.

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

That's awesome Pauline! Thanks for pointing that out. This might seem like a stupid question, but do you know if the tool also allows you to have those posts of the feeds you follow scheduled…so you don't dump out a lot of tweets all at once?

John brings up a good question. On top of that, it also means that you don't physically visit the blog which would meanfellow Yakezians (particularly those that are challenging) won't get the Alexa help they need.

Great tip Pauline. I have seen this before, but I have the same concerns as John and Jason. I like to give our fellow members some Alexa love and like to read the blogs. I also don't tweet every blog post because many that I visit don't discuss any pertinent topics or are useful to my followers. I still like the control, but it is very time consuming.

John, that is a good question and I have no idea about it, if you find out please let us know. I would say if you set the option to check for new posts every hour on each blog, you should get the day's post roughly at the time it was published, spreading the tweets during the day. With the 24hours update you may have a big amount of simultaneous tweets.

I usually visit the post to read and comment, and then tweet about it. Between people who don't shorten their URL, the ones who don't include their Twitter handles, and the ones who don't have obvious Twitter buttons, it is really time consuming. On top of that I have a slow internet so if my visit can be limited to reading and commenting, I can visit and read more sites. I do use Google reader but click straight away on the post in order to give the blogs a longer visit than just the time of writing a comment if I read in Google and clicked afterwards.

While I wouldn't add 200 random blogs to that automatic list, I enjoy a few that I can vouch for and know every post would
be relevant to my followers. I usually skip posts that aren't for me, about the fiscal cliff or 401Ks for example, but would still
RT them to my followers. In this case yes, the person would lose the site visit, although a 10 seconds site visit to tweet and
bounce isn't very good for stats either. If I have a big backlog of unread sites I may not RT them at all and simply skip the
post.
I added a Tweet button to my RSS feed meaning people can read the post, RT and not visit my site at all if they have nothing
to say. I know I may lose a few visits because of that convenience but I'd rather have a tweet than nothing.
You can't have it all unfortunately!

This is what I thought – this can work if one is very selective and has levels of favourites. Pauline you are always on my list :) but I may need to ask you some questions by e-mail (luddite allert).
