My IP address and account were banned from Tipd.com – I can't so much as browse the site and just get a simple message telling me that I've been banned. I had submitted 2-3 of my posts there over the past 2 weeks and I guess something was not to a moderators liking. A quick search turned up a few others who have experienced this and were not able to get unbanned either.
anyone else experience this? I am dissapointed to be labelled a spammer or whatever reason they may have.. but I guess the question is, should I care? Does anyone find Tip'd valueable for traffic?
oh well.

I am now unbanned after a quick email. Not sure what triggered the ban.
My other question still stands – do any of you find Tip'd to be useful for driving traffic? I haven't automated my posts getting added.. I just manually add ones that I feel might fit one of their categories. Naturally, they get no "tips" and I dno't think a single visitor has been referred from the site.

I have had a few articles that gained a lot of traffic on tip'd. I guess the do follow (if you get published) link is a benefit as well. I think that the key to getting published is to gain a few votes and show up in the "upcoming articles" box. Once you submit a post, send me a DM on Twitter with the link, so I can help you out with a tip.

What did you submit and how often? For some social sites it look sbad if you submit a week's worth of articles in one day (not saying that happened, just saying).
Where you active Tipping other articles as well as subbing your own?
You could try emailing them and see what happened too.

I submit to TIPD daily, and haven't been banned. I think the red flags go up when you submit a bunch of stuff at once, or something that looks like spam.
I get a decent amount of traffic from Tipd, but mainly i like getting the followed links on the published articles. Backlinks = good.

I actually was banned from Tip'd for a few hours at one point. They thought I was trying to "game the system" because a friend of mine who is active on Tip'd was over my house and voted for my article from her laptop. So there was two votes from the same IP address. A quick email straightened things out.
