I'm seeing a lot of clients who are willing to pay a premium for posts written with SEO that is above and beyond what can likely be accomplished without a paid plugin/tool.  I have heard some conflicting things about Scribe.  I'm not sure what to buy, so I was hoping I could start a dialogue about the best plugin/download for SEO best practices.  I know this has been discussed before to some extent, but things move fast.  Also, I will be using it on various sites as I am now doing a lot of freelance work, so I'm not sure if that changes anything.  Thanks everyone!

Scribe is very expensive and I don't find it as valuable as what I had paid for it.  It is effective no doubt, but is it worth the money you pay? Not in my opinion. I tried it for a few months to test out the quality.  I use SBI's SEO tool which scores your page/post. You can keep analyzing it until you hit 100% before publishing it. I talk about SBI extensively on my blog, and the built in SEO functionality is  a big reason why I have used it to build most of my niche websites.  All of my websites rank on page one of Google for the relevant keywords in their respective niches.

Sunil,

You have a really good site for this type of information, so I should really just go read the whole thing next time I get a block of time to myself.  Thanks for the advice, I too thought Scribe seemed a little pricey for the limited nature of how many times you can use it each month.  Anyone else have any thoughts about this question?  I bet some people swear by Scribe.  If so, why?

Scribe won't make a post automatically SE optimized, but will make it easier to check the keyword density and other essential things (title, description, etc) which might be a chore to check manually. Scribe works as a web tool, meaning you don't have to install it in a website, you can do your post, SEO it online and send it to the clients. Or you could just install it on your blog, do the SEO and send the html. You won't need scribe for ever, after a few months, you will automatically start writing posts that already include all the good stuff. At that point you can discontinue scribe. I think there are some other (free) tools that analyze your post and give keyword density etc, if you are going that route I suggest the SEOQuake. I like it the best among the free ones. But I still prefer scribe for saving time.

For keyword research, everything can be done using google adwords, but again to save some time, Market Samurai or traffic travis works great. Again, MS and TT works as a stand along tool, so it is not confined to one blog.

If you decide to use scribe or market samurai here are my affiliate links (feel free to ignore this part Wink )

Sunil, Is the SBI SEO free? Do you have the link to it? I checked your blog and did a google search could not find out the exact page for this. As I said I use scribe to just save time and found that to be the best among the ones I tried. But would love to try other ones out there.

Suba:

Thanks for that wealth of information.  If I am going the paid route (and I think I am) I will be using one of your affiliate links for sure.  As you know all too well Suba, since you bought Broke Professionals, I rarely ever tried to incorporate SEO best practices into my writing.  That is fine for a personal site (although you may not agree now trying to correct it, lol), but I want to make sure I have posts I write for clients analyzed from every angle.  So, it is really helpful getting the feedback on what the best options are out there, for someone who will be doing work for a number of people rather than for just one site.  Thanks again!

I bought Scribe about six weeks ago and it helps me make sure I do the little things that make it SEO friendly.  I paid for 3 months up front and will probably cancel when it ends because I now know what to do.

I just bought Scribe this week and am really finding it helpful. If you google for a promo code you can get 50% off, too.

Hmmm….I am contemplating trying these tools out–I don't pay attention to SEO at all, and get a payout from adsense every few months. Thank you for posting about it!
