Hi everybody! I am so excited because I will finally be offering a weekly newsletter!!!
It will have normal newsletter stuff PLUS a link to an exclusive giveaway that I will hold every month for newsletter subscribers!!! It'll be like FMF's giveaways, just a simple comment to enter. The only difference is that I will be hooking you up with Amazon gift cards instead of cash from Smarty Pig, lol.
The rest of the letter will have a little personal section about me, a few highlights of my posts around the web, and even a little section at the bottom highlighting a product that I personally use and/or enjoy.
The trick is that the first newsletter will go out only after I get 50 subscribers and I am only at 29 right now (thank you to the 29 early birds!!!). Please help me reach the big 5-0 asap!
Here's the link to my newsletter post – http://www.budgetinginthefunst…..ewsletter/
Thank you!!! And thank you to Jesse Michelsen for being for hire!!!

Hey! I tried signing up, but it appears the subscribe button isn't active? Someone please double-check me on this

Edit: Nevermind! It turns out that it worked all along and I had in fact submitted my info ~6 times. Sorry for the spam.
I was a bit confused because the Mailchimp form didn't look like it refreshed

Hi Crystal,
I signed up for the newsletter, but I think I was having the same problem that P2PNoob was having. I was working in Safari and when I hit the "subscribe" button, nothing happened. I hit it again, nothing happened. I opened my email and I had several confirmation emails. :)

Well, poop. I'll let Jesse know. In the meantime, if anybody wants to sign up, apparently just hit the subscribe button, give it 2 seconds, and go about your business since it isn't giving any feedback right now. Sorry.

I have an opposite problem. I subscribed yesterday morning. I still have not received anything. I didn't receive any email this morning, but I thought I will wait for a week to check may be you will send a weekly letter before bothering you though. Also I signed up from office yesterday, I will be back home tonight (I was in a different city and travel 3 days a week so couldn't try it last night), I will sign up again from home to make sure it is not a firewall thing before you do anything for my problem.

In Chrome, when I hit the subscribe button, nothing happened either. It didn't work in Firefox either.

It worked – it just doesn't act like it worked. Jesse is looking into it. In the meantime, if you hit the button and give it a couple of seconds, you will probably get the confirmation email. I do apologize that all of the bugs aren't worked out yet. But thanks for wanting to sign up and helping me figure out the issues!!!

I signed up. But nothing happened (yet) may be I will get the confirmation soon. So if you see my email, ignore my comment. I will let you know if I am not getting the weekly newsletter after a week or so.

Yep, that was it. Things were working, it just didn't look like it worked. So, I am now subscribed via two email addresses!

As of right this second, I have two options. Stick with the subscription box I have that doesn't let you know when it's done or add one of those annoying newsletter pop ups, which I refuse to do. I cannot stand those things. So, we're still working on making the signup form work better…

I also subscribed about 4 times! I'm using Firefox and maybe the subscribe button doesn't like that browser.

Thank you! I unsubscribe a blog from my RSS feed when a full feed isn't published as it's my biggest pet peeve. This newsletter-pop-up practice is quickly moving its way up my annoyance list, so I'm glad to hear you won't be partaking in that practice!

I hate the popups because they completely kill navigation on my blackberry. Email lightboxes=no traffic from me.
As for the butchered feed, I use this if it's a site I really want to follow: http://fulltextrssfeed.com/. There's no site out there that I'm going to be forced to click through to read.
