I am on the 3rd page in Bing (page 19 in Google) for my main keyword, which is "Real Estate Investing", for my home page and I am excited about that. But do any of you have any idea how to move further up the Bing charts? Obviously I would not only to be on the first page but in the top 3 for the term.
I suspect work is just backlinking, but wondering if anyone has any ideas that I might be missing and would be able to get me over the top sooner rather than later.
And if any of you want to help push me over the edge, then please throw a link my http://investwithpassion.com site with the linking term "Real Estate Investing"
Thank you!
Now, I am back to relentlessly tweeting and promoting my fellow Yakezie members. Let's get it done!

Since posting this inquiry, I have moved up on Bing to page two, serp #16 overall (and moved up to page 18 in Google). I guess it is all of the promoting from the Yakezie family that is making it happen along with the commenting on the various sites. I try to get o ut in the community and comment on the various blogs. Now I know that I have to get on the guest posting immediately to make all of this become a reality.
Let's keep it moving Yakezie!

It is absolutely about links although Bing seems less responsive than Google and it seems to favor large news style sites…. Once they start to like you though they start ranking most of your articles high off the bat.

To find out what page you were on, did you use a service to give you this information, or did you have to do the search and look for your site to show up? It would be great if you could just enter in your keyword(s) somewhere and they tell you where you place on the major search sites.
I'll try to remember to link to you using your target keywords!
Thanks for all of your support!!

To find it I just searched in bing to find it, but a friend of mine said that FF has an extension to help you find serps in Bing. I havn't tried it yet, don't use FF much.
But if you are checking serps in Google, you can use http://FastSerps.com
They haven't updated it to check Bing yet, but it is useful.
Have fun and let's keep it going!

Ok, I'll have to check them out. I actually never tested my site for keywords in Bing – guess that's something else to go on my to-do-list.
Thanks!

With Yahoo and Bing merging search results, Bing is taking a big leap. Plus with the microsoft is pushing Bing, you know they are only going to grow. And I would like to be at the front of the line before the traffic comes….along with the competition.
Plus, Bing users seem to be more sophisticated as oppose to Google.

Rank Checker from seobook.com is a free tool you can use to find your rankings in Google, Yahoo, and Bing. It is easy to use and lots faster than scrolling through page after page to find your site.

I'm not sure about Bing, but I agree with Forest that you should get as many high quality links back to that article as possible.

From what I've been seeing, Bing uses descriptions and keywords heavily.

Slightly off-topic, but if you use Bing as a search engine, sign up for their reward program. I sign in every day (30 seconds) and have seriously racked up points without trying just through my daily searches (that I would have done anyway).
I love free stuff.

I've noticed that for most of my keywords, my site ranks higher in Google than in Bing.
Certain keywords that rank quite well in Google are in Bing not even in the top 100.
Are there any special SEO related actions that help you in Bing but that are less relevant for Google?

I remember a few years ago when you could search on Bing and if you bought, you got a percentage cash back. Ah, the good old days :)

Bing has it's own Webmaster Tools I've used for tracking my keywords on Bing. It's a watered down version of Google's webmaster tools. I rarely check it since Bing amounts to about 1% of my search traffic.
I doubt Bing will take any significant market share of search. It may be worth using for advertising but I'm not going to risk messing with SEO just for Bing and have my Google rankings drop because of it.
