My blog just got indexed by Google and I was wondering if I should be blocking tag pages and category pages from the search engines.  I've heard it is good to block such pages since they are just full of duplicate content.  If so, is there any other similar pages I should block such as archives?  Thanks!

personally – these are the pages that are getting a significant amount of free, organic search traffic on my blog.  a big reason is keyword density as well as inbound links from within the site using keyword rich anchor texts. think about it as a main sub page of your website underneath which you have a ton of content (individual posts) pushing the momentum upward.  read about constructing website structures to understand how this works to your benefit:  http://www.easyextramoneyonlin…..structure/
