Personal Finance Blog for Sale. http://www.brilliantfinances.com  Make an offer.

The domain name is a great name and has some inherent value built-in.  The blog is an “up and coming”
personal finance blog.  I just don’t have the time available to keep it going.  It has a lot of income potential.  Just add
your advertising contacts, Adsense and Affiliate accounts, and continue adding posts and watch your income grow.  You
could easily sell sponsored posts for $45 to $60, and advertising links for $35 a month and up.  I honestly love this blog, but I just can't give it the justice it deserves.  I'd like to see it go to someone who can help it reach it's full potential.

The Blog Comes with:

500+ visitors and 1,000+ pageviews per month.

  • Web and email Hosting – at hostgator.com can be transferred, the cost is $9.95 per month.
  • Wordpress.org platform with non-exclusive theme included with many useful plugins.
  • Twitter account with over 1,000 followers.  Valued at over $300 http://whatsmytwitteraccountworth.com/
  • Facebook Fan Page with 10 likes
  • 30 subscribers on Feedburner with email list. Valued at over $50.
  • Exclusive Copyright license for 1 year of 15+posts (never been or to be spun).  Valued at over $525.
  • Advertising value of website is over $2,900 http://www.pansee.com/?domain=…..nances.com.
This could easily be raised as site ages and gains more popularity.
  • Over 40 keywords in top 10 position on Google
  • Keywords are getting over 4,500 impressions a month on Google with a 2.44% Click-through-rate (CTR).  The CTR could easily be raised with some minor SEO adjustments.
  • Over 46 backlinks (over 46% of traffic in June so far came from referrals).
  • Alexa Traffic Rank 514,528 and 44,538 US
  • Was at one time ranked in top 100 of Finance Blogs on Technorati.  Ranking has fallen, but can easily be raised.
  • Seller will provide up to 2 hours consulting to assist in transferring hosting, giving SEO suggestions, explaining how to raise Technorati ranking, removing links associated with seller's Affiliate accounts, and share other tips.
  • AdSense earned over $12 in May.  The AdSense account and Affiliate Accounts cannot be transferred, but you should be able to average at least $5 or more per month with AdSense right now.
  • I may consider writing 7 to 13 posts on a Personal Finance Basic Training series that is planned, which can be added to the purchase price.

Good thing I have thick skin MyJourneytoMillions and DollarVersity or I would come back with some smart alec comments.  I expected more from members of this network.  Yes it's a new site, yes it still needs work.  No it does not rank up there with yours.  But, if you were starting a new blog this one has laid some ground work that would take any new blog time to build up.  I have certain obligations namely career, military, and family that prevent me from going further with this blog for now.  Rather than just let it sit around collecting dust, I thought someone could take it over and take it to higher levels.

Hey Tim.

No one is marking fun of or disrespecting you or your reasons for selling. The simple fact is that you have a blog that is 3 months old with 24 posts.  Your twitter account with 1000+ followers has a Klout of 23 and only 100+ tweets which shows very little interaction.  The site has no Page rank or MozRank.  Those are all basic negatives.

Those 40 keywords in Google's top-10, are they popular, highly valuable keywords? If not, then it really doesn't matter in terms of being a selling point.  That plus the fact that you cannot rely on any of those valuation sites you reference.  Heck, some say that my site could sell for $30k+, which I know for a fact is a load of crap.  Basically, you cannot put a value on the things you are trying to do so with individually (especially if there is no real relationship between the site/accoutns and the followers/fans/subscribers).

It's nothing against you personally.

Your input is respected.  However, Page Rank and MozRank will probably not even come out until after the site is 90 days old.  The site is 77 days old.  The twitter account is not even that old, and the interaction has been building up quickly and the Klout score has been rising quickly as well.  For the right person these could be pluses, and it shows there is potential.  If you were really interested you would be asking more about those 40 keywords.  But all you seem to be interested in is the negative side.  I'm just looking for the right person to take the site to the next level and not see it all go to complete waste.  The site will have interest I can guarantee that, and of course any interested party would do their due dilligence.

Try Flippa, you can try selling your blog on there as well.

For those 40 keywords ranking top 10 in G, where are you pulling tracking this information?  (I'm really curious about a good keyword tracker honestly, but also curious about the site as well).

Glen–If you go into Webmaster Tools and select the traffic section, there is a section for search queries.  It shows you what the average position, # of impressions, clicks & CTR for your site, and can be sorted by any of the column headers.  Of course, if you already tried that one, then you can ignore this message! Cool

Honest advice..

It would be worth putting in a few more months of effort to build-up a mozrank and google pr before trying to sell.  Your site is just too new to fetch very much on the open market.  I understand not having time to properly devote to making your site shine, but it is exactly that time commitment that folks put into their blogs (over a long period of time), that makes them a valuable property.

At this point you have a nice domain name, and your site is off to a decent start.  But that isn't worth as much as you think.  It is quite possible that a lot of your link-backs, google rankings, and alexa success can be directly attributed to interaction with this very Yakezie community.  Folks here will continue to support you if you are working towards making your site grow, but if you were just hoping to make a quick buck, I think you may have jumped the gun a bit.

No hard feelings.. I hope you get what you are looking for.   But again, I would strongly recommend you stick with it for a few more months, if you can stomach it at all…

Glen, Eric is right I pulled the information on keywords from the google webmaster tools.

LaTisha, I might try Flippa, but I'd rather see someone from the Yakezie network have it.

See Debt Run, I appreciate your honest feedback.  I really appreciate this network, and it has supported the site.  I'm not trying to make a quick buck, and I have no hard feelings.  I wish I could stick with it, but I just can't do that right now.

All of the value informaiton I provided is just to give an idea of the site's potential.  I am not by any means asking for that price.  I would entertain any offer and I won't be offended.  I am in all honesty just trying to make sure the site goes to someone who will be able to give it the attention it needs.  It has to have some value for someone to do that.

Glen, if you're still interested shoot me an offer on what you think it's worth to you and we can go from there.

I think you have a good idea of a possible suitor. Part of me could see that being a viable option for someone, but I also think that if someone were starting out, they like to "create their own" so to speak.

Just for some perspective (because I too have thought about selling a PR 2 site with little traffic and maybe 30 posts on it, but decided against it because it's not worth that much), many new bloggers aren't convinced that they are going to make money, so spending more than the $80ish dollars on webhosting and domain registration is going to be a stretch. For those already-established bloggers, a site with that little content without a PR sounds more like a project than something to build off.

I don't say that to discourage, but just add my own voice and some of my thoughts about my situation. It's very possible for you to find someone interested in taking it over. Good luck with the sale and I hope you find someone.

Corey

Not to disappoint:

I didn't mean any disrespect (especially if you are serving the Country) but your site right now is just a great domain.  Nothing else.

1)  Those 1000+ followers had to be obtained from some shady technique because you only have 100 or so tweets which half are thanks for the follow

2)  Who values 30 feedburners at ANYTHING?

3)  Who thinks that 15 posts are worth $525?! I buy posts all the time from Yakezie members for the 15 or so sites I own and I will tell you that I just bought 18 fantastic posts for WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY less than that.

4)  Pansee or any type of site like that means nothing since they aren't putting their money at risk

5)  Who gives a shit about how many visitors are coming from those keywords unless YOU are getting them.

Your skills are obvious you built up a pretty good site with almost nothing of substance.  Your 2 hours of coaching is absolutely worth more than the site.

I am not sure I agree with Latisha's suggest but I have nothing really better to offer.
