BlogCarnival.com wasn't sending confirmations of submissions tonight when I was trying to submit to several carnivals. This is exactly what was happening before when submissions weren't getting to the carnival host email account either.

A word of caution….

In the meantime, you can use the Blog Carnival Workaround - http://canadianfinanceblog.com…..orkaround/

Hmm. Yeah, they seem to be having problems. Thanks for the heads up!

I saw that last night as well, but then I started getting referrals from the BC Submission page – like the host was checking the link.  I have a hunch some of the submissions may have gone through.

I didn't get confirmations last week or this week, yet last week all of my posts went through.  Also, have you noticed that it has been down sometimes this week?  Very frustrating.

I don't bother with the BlogCarnival site's submission form anymore. I've used the workaround put together by Tom at Canadian Finance Blog, ever since those prior problems, and it seems to work great. More reliable!

I agree.  But for some of my niche sites, I use other carnivals besides finance – and BC is the only place I've found to submit…

I noticed that too, plus something else that bothered me.  I went to submit to the Carnival of Financial Planning (before 10:00 AM on Friday), but then noticed that creditcardscanada, the host, had already posted the roundup well before that.  Talk about annoying!

It's really annoying, especially when you submit to carnivals that aren't included in the workaround.

It seems like Blog Carnival's website and database was created sometime years ago and hasn't been touched or updated since.  It's a great service but it definitely seems to need some TLC that the administrators don't have time/know-how to give.

Thanks for the heads up.

There seem to be a lot of 'dead' carnivals still listed out there too.

Maybe developing a reliable platform is a business opp for one of you technically inspired Yakezie members or challengers?

Good idea! I believe a couple Yakezians are already working on a site that gives BC a little healthy competition!
