Blogger to Wordpress conversion - questions | Bloggers Lair | Yakezie Forums

I am in process with testing a conversion of FamilyMoneyValues from blogger to WO.

Currently, my Blogger blog is pointed to a subdomain on my hosting company (Host Gator).

I have set up a test subdomain on HG, installed wordpress, played with the look and feel of the 2011 Theme that came with the install.

I have loaded up the import from blogger plugin and used it (somewhat) successfully. 

In looking through the results of my conversion, I initially see the following:

- Not all of the posts came over – I have about 7 scheduled posts in blogger and only found one in WP.

- I will need to use a link converter as the blogger url has no short words (the, a and etc).

- My blogger pages did not come over.

- None of the WP posts have jump breaks (read mores), but most of the blogger ones did.

Has anyone encountered the above in doing their conversion?

If I need to, I can also use a downloaded export file from blogger which  I ran through the online blogger2wordpress converter.  Its about 1900 KB.  I have loaded up the WP plugin to use that as an import as well.
