I've been staying up until 1am lately to blog. The downside is the midnight muchies.

My midnight snacks haven't been very healthy and I need to find some healthy alternatives.

What do you snack on? Share your healthy snack on my post –  The Peril of Midnight Blogging

wow – I don't know how your brain functions that late. I occasionally will stay up that late, but it's usually a waste. Social media or responding to emails maybe. The taco looked good though.

I woke up at 4 a.m. last night and did some blogging. First I shuffled to the fridge and scarfed down the first thing I could find––some rice and stirfry. (The stirfry was made earlier from fresh garden veggies and made some bloody fantastic leftovers).

Jake, what type of beer? Currently I'm savoring a Saranac Wheat Ale. :-)

I'm with Corey. Intelligent thought doesn't happen that easily for me at that hour. Better for me to go to bed and wake up an hour early to get stuff done. These days I'm usually either already at work or commuting at that point, but the single most productive hour of my entire day is between 6am to 7am.

But to answer your question: veggies!

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

I'm with Corey. I'm better off getting up a 4:30 or 5 am…which is what I do.

Try popcorn in an airpopper (not the microwave). It's cheaper, healthier and you can completely skip the butter and add spices like chili powder instead, but still get a great snack for low calorie and low fat. Low fat pretzels are also usually not bad, although not good either.

Man, I work so hard during the day that by the time 10 or 11pm rolls around, I'm out like a light — how do you even stay up so late blogging? Maybe that's your solution, blog like a maniac earlier  in the day/evening, and then go to bed earlier. If you're tired enough, you'll stay asleep and not need any midnight food.  Problem solved! :-)

I believe it was Pyramid Apricot Ale. I'm a big fan of unfiltered microbrews :)

I'm up all hours of the night blogging. I would recommend a cold glass of water to shock your system.
