Broke a Million! Yakezie milestone

Laugh I actually broke a million on Alexa!  Last week while on vacation.

This is probably due solely to my dutiful visiting of the site with an Alexa-enabled browser every day but I don't mind.  I'm suffering a bit of writer's block though.

Who else has had a milestone recently?  Party!

First of all, congrats! Breaking a million is a great first step. Keep working at it and you'll continue to see that Alexa Rank drop! I've been at it for just over a year and my ranking just dipped below 70k. I'm so excited!!! :)

That is excellent news! I remember dropping below a million myself.  My most recent milestone is that my very next blog post will be my 100th… im thinking another giveaway time!

Congrats to you. This is great. And yes, for writer's block, follow Buck's suggestions. They are great ones.

Congrats!  I remember dropping below 1M, myself (it was on 3/4/11 – yes, I keep a chart at my desk LOL!).  Keep up the great work!

As for writer's block, we all go through that from time to time.  It can be tough to overcome.  I find looking at what others have written helps inspire me – I don't steal their work but it does sometimes generate ideas of my own.

Congrats. Keep doing what you're doing, and it will likely keep dropping at decent increments for a while.

As for writer's block, taking a break a for a few days helps sometimes. When I do that, I feel like I can get back in the swing of posts, and a bunch of ideas often come to mind.  Maybe you can take a short break, and then sit down and brainstorm for 30 minutes. Just a suggestion.

Thanks for the WB suggestions all.  I find that I have to plough through it and write *something* every day.  Of course, this is super hard on vacation and even more difficult once I'm back at work, outputting a few thousand words of emails a day…

This is much easier when I have a positive backlog of posts!  I can glide through a couple of weeks of block then.

It is funny how with most other things we want to get higher than a million but with Alexa we want to stay the heck away from it.
