I know we got some techies in here and I'm trying to find an easy solution to send out template emails to standard questions that we bloggers always get. I'm also asking for my business as I get many of the same questions.
I primarily work out of Gmail account and haven't really found a simple solution. The only thing I can think of is to create separate .txt files on my desktop and just copy and paste, but that just seems prehistoric.
Any one else have any tips?

There is a feature in Gmail called Canned Responses. Its in settings>labs.
You can save numerous templates and send them without having to retype anything.
It saves a lot of time.

Canned responses work nicely! I also just discovered Streak, which helps to organize email and also has a really cool Send it Later feature to schedule emails. It's free for now at least!

Jeff, if you recall one of WiseBread's seminar's at Fincon discussed using the gmail canned response function to save time. I think it was Will's? He said they had a whole bunch of them set up and it saved them a ton of time. I've set up a few. They are easy to do.
Do you have a FAQ page? I remember Tim Ferriss discussed this in 4-Hour Workweek. He had something that basically said – feel free to contact me but make sure you check out FAQ pag first to see if that answers your question (or something like that, I read the book years ago).

Boomerang (free feature) has the same Send it later, and remind me later features. Canned Responses and Boomerang save me from crying over my inbox on a daily basis.

I came across boomerang in my search for a send it later feature, but opted for Streak when I found out that the free version of Boomerang only gives you 10 send it later emails per month. But, they both seem like good products!

Crap. I was in that session, too. I must have been Tweeting or something during that part!
