To be held in Toronto, Ontario Sept 21-23.
I believe the event is open to non-Canadians as well but I am not 100% positive.
Originally the total people to be invited was low but I think it will due to a lot of interest.

I checked it out the other day, I think it said "Limited to 100 Canadian Personal finance bloggers, media…" I think we have to be CPF to attend… at least from the description…

Ok. The "Who" part of the conference site, still says it is limited to Canadian bloggers :) that is what I was looking at. I now know that is not right… but as I said, that is what it says for people who are looking at it…

That would be great! I'm pretty sure Tom Drake would attend as well. Nelson Smith too.
There are a slew of Canuck bloggers we really want to meet.

Unfortunately, Toronto is a bit far for this guy to make it. I do plan on making it to Fincon12 though.

Won't be able to make that one unfortunately as Toronto is a great city! Have a drink at the top of the CN Tower for me!

I am not sure yet but if I can pull it off I will. If I do come that way, are you two near by. I would love to link up for a bite even if you can't take time off to attend the conference.

I have to pick FINCON over this. I'd love to go to both but the dates are way to close to each other to make it work. I pointed out to Preet and Krystal when they were first looking at this that the FINCON date could at that time possibly even be the exact same weekend, but they went ahead anyways.

Thing is, FINCON could have been Oct or Nov as well – those were voting options. I'm kinda annoyed by the date chioice, but also location – the top 2 VOTED options were passed over for a semi-distant 3rd. I just don't get what the point of having a vote was …

Just because of geography Toronto is actually considerably more expensive for me to fly too than Denver is. Hmm… decisions decisions…

When there is normal paced traffic it takes us about 1:40 to get to downtown Toronto. We'll be there!

I meant even before the voting, actually the final day of FINCON11. I knew the very beginning of Oct wasn't likely again, but most likely within a couple weeks on either side.
The voting was factored in, but not just the location… people didn't want $150-$200 hotel rooms just to have the conference in San Diego at the available locations. I think with a conference full of pf bloggers, Phil knew he needed to keep affordability in mind.

I'd LOVE to visit Canada & meet all the PF Bloggers…but two conferences in a month is a bit of a stretch.

Even if we all wanted to go to CPFC12, it is limited to 80 people. This includes bloggers, media, PF gurus etc (I think). However, I plan to check both out – CPFC12 and FINCON12. Fortunately one is in my backyard (10min drive) and the other is a 4hr flight. So, we'll see what happens.

Oof, tough choice. I was interested in attending but considering FINCON is so close to it and it will cost me about equal to go to either one… If I can make it I'm going to try for FINCON12 first and two is a big of a stretch.

Looks like the limit is now 70 people on the official site. I wish I could make it, but Toronto is a bit far from Vancouver. Perhaps next year
