I have to pick FINCON over this. I'd love to go to both but the dates are way to close to each other to make it work. I pointed out to Preet and Krystal when they were first looking at this that the FINCON date could at that time possibly even be the exact same weekend, but they went ahead anyways.

Tom I totally agree!  I would have loved to attended both events, and especially CPFC12 since its Canadian. But travelling back to back conferences is way too much. I do agree Krystal and Preet should have set a much better date for this, even though they booked the event before FinCon. Unfortuate as I really wanted to connect with a few of my PF blogging friends. Anyway many more people at FinCon, more awesome bang for the buck IMO!

For those who are in Toronto area – this will be real gem Wink

Hey Tom, see U again at FinCon Smile

Thing is, FINCON could have been Oct or Nov as well – those were voting options.  I'm kinda annoyed by the date chioice, but also location – the top 2 VOTED options were passed over for a semi-distant 3rd.  I just don't get what the point of having a vote was …

ditto here! Wink

I wanted to go so bad! I don't think I'll be able to figure out whether I even can (job situation, etc) before the tickets sell out. Plus, it's 10 days after I get back from New York. Plus, I'd have to figure out a roomie and everyone that is going has already worked everything out! So we'll see.

Haha that's news to me… I haven't even started to think about where I would stay…

I'm going to both! Luckily I live an hour away from Toronto so I only have to pay for my ticket.

Should I consider sleeping in my car? Hahah… maybe that would be too frugal.

Looks like i'll see you fellas @ FinCon as well.  Attending solo to FinCon and Mrs. SPF is joining me for CPFC – mind you, she may end up just joining the social events once she sees the discussion agenda! (I am the blog nerd, she likes to write and talk to folks who comment)

Me neither.  Somewhere close to the conference.  I don't know Toronto at all – will need some good ol' search engine help for this one.

With no slow down traffic we can make it to downtown Toronto in under 2 hours but I just can't see wanting to wake up @ 5am to be on the road for 6ish, with a baby in tow, to get to an 8:30/9am start.
