One of the things that I love about being a part of my summer team is the comments that I have received from my teammates.   I was pondering ways to further enhance the idea, and I came up with this thing I'm calling the comment club.

Here is how this experiment initially will work:

1) The first comment club will be limited to 21 members

2) Each member commits to leaving a total of 3 comments for the other 20 members each week.

3) This club will work on the honesty policy, but I will ask that if you find the commitment to be too big, you notify the other members and we will add someone new to the club

I realize that this is a sizable time commitment, but it would mean that each member of the club would get 60 comments per week.  I think that additional activity would be great for any blog, and it would hopefully get others to get more involved.

As we progress we can experiment with different requirements/numbers, but the goal is to create a lively discussion for everyone who participates.

If you are interested, send me an email at mplux22 [at] gmail [dot] com  Please send your name, site, and any social media information.  Once we reach 21 members, I will send out an email to everyone.

If anyone has any thoughts or improvements to suggest, please let me know!

I like the idea, but it's way beyond what I can put in during the summer. I'm currently struggling with keeping up about 60 per month! I know that there are a number of people here who have similar seasonal rushes in their schedules that could make such a commitment difficutl

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

Interesting idea but I did think that this is what the Yakezie teams are supposed to do. One advantage of having 'fluid' teams rather than a club is that these change so one 'meets' and work with different blogs four times a year. I've quite a few members of my 'friendship' club whom I met like that.

I think it's a great idea, but I would echo Maria in that I think that's what the teams are supposed to do. I like the teams because they're a bit smaller and easier for me to manage as well as getting to meet other blogs on a somewhat rotating basis.

I certainly appreciate the sentiment that the three of you have expressed.  It is possible that I'm falling into the fallacy of some is good, therefore more is better.

I know it is asking for a decent size commitment of time, but it is something that I would be excited to do and I think could it could be really beneficial.

I will keep you all posted on the status of this experiment and the results.

I'd be interested in a comment exchange – could someone provide some more details regarding the teams which are set up?
