It requires courage to take down all ads (I wish I had this courage a few years ago!).
If I may, you might want to add the plugin "who see ads" and add a adsense block in your page for older articles only (I use 2 weekk if I remember correctly). Therefore, only your SE traffic will see your adsense and they are the ones who are most likely to click on ads ;-0
