Hey Everyone,

We are giving away a $500 Amazon.com gift card to one of our fellow personal finance bloggers. It's a pretty targeted contest so there shouldn't be a crazy amount of entries, which means your chances are very good! - http://creditshout.com/credits…..gift-card/

Wasn't exactly sure if I should post this in here, or "reader giveaways" but this is more targeted at other personal finance bloggers, not readers.

If you have any questions about the contest or just want to shoot the breeze feel free to email me directly kevin@creditshout.com, hit me up on Twitter: @creditshout or Skype: kvnfleming.  I can't give you any feedback on your entries but I can clarify the rules etc and talk about blogging and building an online business.

Also feel free to spread the word. We've never done this before so if there is only one entry that person is going to make out like a bandit haha but it should be funSmile

Interesting contest.  The winner will be chosen based on who has the best content rather than a random drawing, correct?  I'll have to see what I can do to put a creative spin on the topic.

Yes! My editor and I will review the entry posts and choose our favorite – it is not a random drawing… so be creative!!  Also a few people have asked if this is just for personal finance bloggers.  We are leaving this open for everyone with a blog to enter, however the post you submit should have a personal finance theme.  Hope this clears up any confusion.

Are you looking for a mention, or more specifically a link, to creditshout?

If it is a link this appears to be a back linking strategy (quite a cheap way to get links at that) that may or may not pay off for those providing the links?  Will nofollow be discarded?

Sustainable PF, Hopefully those who enter our contest feel that our site is at least worth a mention and a link but a dofollow link is not required if for some reason someone feels it isn't.  If you don't feel our site is worth a link feel free to email me at kevin@creditshout.com with things that we could work on, or improve.

It is more that I don't tend to link to sites that appear quite commercial in nature on a hope that I might win a contest.  That's all.  It takes a lot of work to come up with a great article and fit in a link to a business at the same time.

That is understandable.  I guess it's also worth mentioning that once the contest is over will be doing a post to announce the winner that will also include a link to each submission we received, so everyone really benefits regardless of if they win or not.

Would you consider a Paypal payment?  Folks in Canada can't get much on Amazon.com – we get denied the good stuff (electronics especially).
