As some of you will know already – either through visiting my site or because of my current signature! – the Miss Thrifty Blog is lucky enough to have been shortlisted in the Cosmopolitan (UK) Blog Awards 2011.
Although there are lots of bloggers in the UK, for some reason we have hardly any blog awards. As a result, tens of thousands of blogs were nominated for the Cosmo Blog Awards this year. So to have been shortlisted (and to have been the only PF blog shortlisted, would you believe!) is a big deal.
(NB. I'm not the first Yakezie blogger to have been shortlisted. Frugal/TotallyMoney was shortlisted in the inaugural Cosmopolitan Blog Awards 2010 – up the Yakezie!)
The awards ceremony is in London at the end of the month, the winners will be chosen by 50% public voting & 50% judges' decision, and voting closes at the end of this week.
So…
If you have a minute to spare and you are minded to whack a vote in my direction, I'd be immensely grateful!

P.S. And if anyone has an idea about what to wear to an awards ceremony when the dress code is "awards fabulous" and you're seven months' pregnant, please tell me! Right now I'm stuck…

Revisiting an old thread…
I just wanted to let everyone know that the Cosmopolitan Blog Awards ceremony was last night… and I won!
I have posted about the bash (and eventual wardrobe selection) here.
A great big thank you to all the Yakezie members who were kind enough to cast a vote for the Miss Thrifty Blog. You rule!
