I just included my blog on blog nation and got a free link. They are basically a huge blog directory with tonnes of seperate categoried blog directories. Thought I'd let you know so you can all get a good quality free link. Check out here for all the categories you can submit to Blog Nation
Anyway, when you are included you can get people to "Boost" your site to move it up the rankings. It's a bit like "Digg". I would be very grateful if some of you would Boost my blog. From what I can tell, the more boosts you get, the higher you are ranked within your category. Overall, this results in greater visibility.

Yeh it gets you more prominence. You get featured in 'most blogs this week', plus move up the rankings in the list of blogs. If you haven't already submitted, you should do. I've had a little bit of traffic, not loads, plus there may be some SEO benefits too. It's free so might as well!

I don't think you can boost again. I just boosted some and the number did increase by 1, but when I reloaded or returned to the page it went back down to where it was initially. Does this happen with anyone else?!

I justed 'boosted' you from 7 to 8 Jon, but when I refreshed the page, you went back down to a 7. However, I found this posted on the site's FAQ:
"DON'T boost your blog more than once a day – you can only vote once per 24-hour period"
