Did Anyone's Page Rank Change Over the Last Few Days?

When looking at the Yakezie Network list, I noticed that I dropped although all of my numbers had improved. Then I realized that my PR had dropped from 1 to 0! I looked at a couple of sites who's PR I remember (Invest it Wisely, Budgeting in the Fun Stuff, and Everyday Tips and Thoughts), and I noticed that they haven't changed.

Has anyone else's PR changed in the last few days?

There's at least a chance that it's temporary.   The way I understand it, your PR can fluctuate a bit as Google syncs data across its servers.

MoneyCrush stayed the same, but a blog that I rarely post to went up to a 4!  Puzzling, but I'll take it.

They can get worse than 0; you can be unranked.

So people have seen their ran actually rise?  Seemed to me the G tolbar hasn't had any changes.  I guess there's still hope.

The webmaster at my office said that Google is supposedly rolling out some updates.  I haven't seen any PR changes on sites I know.

So a few sites have dropped and others have increased, but most have not changed. I really don't understand how my site was a 1 when I had 500 pageviews/month and a few hundred backlinks, and now is a 0 with over 10,000 pageviews last month and thousands of backlinks!

This is truly ridiculous. I guess that's another reason for me to hate Google.

I read that Google changed their algorithm because some negative site was manipulating its tracking methods to gain page rank,

from what i understand, PRs are updated quarterly. wait and watch what happens next quarter. another thing to note is that the algorithm according to google is a living breathing code – in that it changes / updated on an ongoing basis

The way Google are being with PR now (no overall update since April) means that I think we all have to soldier on ignoring it and trying to help bring MozRank to the forefront to change advertisers and others thoughts on the whole thing.

The only problem I see with Moz rank is – it is not used by any search engines. I mean why do advertisors go after PR, because PR is used by google and by linking from high PR blogs they come up high in search results. What does linking from high Mozrank blog gives them? I don't know and I am not sure the advertisors know that either.

In any case, Moz rank is all we have now, so they might slowly move to moz rank hoping it will correlate with (google's internal) PR. But we have some work to do to convince people.

Page Rank isn't used by search engines either…… Not from my experience anyway!

Not directly forest, but according to Matt cutts, it is part of their magic. How significant it is, no one knows. It is also used in how frequent the posts are indexed, higher page rank sites are crawled more frequently than lower page ranks (this is where the dofollow, nofollow comes in picture I guess). How it is actually used, I have no idea. But from the very fact that page rank sculpting exist and it is discouraged because it manipulates search engine results, (in my opinion) means it is used somewhere.
